What this fixes

What does interior car detailing fix?

Crumbs, dust, and fingerprints are the easy part. Express Interior handles a cabin that's lived-in, not wrecked. Executive Interior is for a heavily dirtied cabin after kids, pets, or a long season. The car's condition decides which one.

Pet hair in the seats

Pet hair works into cloth and holds moisture and odor against the fibers. We remove as much as the material safely allows. Heavily embedded fur can add multiple hours. Pet hair or set-in stains usually call for Executive. On an Executive, light pet hair is covered, medium is $25, and heavy is $55. On a tight budget, it can stay an Express with a pet-hair add-on: $40 for light hair, $65 for medium, or $90 for heavy hair. Mention it when you book. Severe pet contamination is a separate Biohazard Decon job, from $249 per instance, inspection required.

Sand in the carpet

Sand and grit act like sandpaper underfoot and in the seat tracks. We vacuum and work the crevices before it grinds in deeper.

Kids and spills

Drinks, crushed snacks, and dirt from soccer cleats. We take the child seats out, but we don't put them back in. That's a liability call. Follow the seat manufacturer's instructions when you reinstall them.

Vacuuming alone can't reset carpet and cloth. Extraction pulls the loosened dirt and oils back out of the pile. Steam opens the fibers so stains, salts, and odors release instead of getting wiped around. It also works as a disinfectant on fabrics and touchpoints. Express handles light to moderate dirt. Executive adds that deeper cleaning, conditions leather to slow drying and cracking, and leaves longer-lasting protection behind. After extraction, carpet and cloth usually dry in a few hours, sometimes a little longer.

Fresher fibers, longer

High-temperature steam also works as a disinfectant on carpets, seats, and touchpoints–reducing bacteria and odor-causing residue that a simple wipe-down can't cut through.

My car smells. Can you get it out?

Fragrance doesn't remove an odor source, so we find the source first. Odor Treatment starts at $134.99 and is quoted by source. It covers food, musty smells, light smoke, and persistent everyday odors. Vomit and other bodily fluids need Biohazard Decon, from $249 per instance, inspection required. Smoke and spills are quoted according to the affected area. The method depends on what we find. It might be ozone, enzyme cleaners, or an odor fogger. We don't promise removal until we know whether the source is on the surface, in the padding, in the HVAC system, or under trim.

Mold is priced on its own. Light to moderate mold is $299.99 to $449.99. Severe or unsafe mold costs $549.99 to $1,000, with the final price set from photos.

What can't come out?

Heavy stains, odors, and pet hair can be improved but not always removed. Coffee on light cloth, sun-cracked leather, burns or tears, and jean dye rubbed into a seat are the usual ones. Dye loss, odor in foam, and damage under the surface can remain. Deep scratches and damaged trim may need repair. If we expect a limit like that on your car, we tell you before we start.

How often should you get an interior detail?

Monthly works for most people. Some want every two weeks, or weekly. An Express or Executive detail comes first, then you qualify for a maintenance plan. A monthly visit on a Tesla took about 1 hour 45 minutes: blowout, vacuum, wipe-down, steam on the busiest spots, light protectant.

Interior detail or full detail?

An interior detail stays inside, plus the door jambs. Paint, wheels, and outside glass belong to an exterior or full detail. Express Inside & Out does both Express services in one visit, about 3.5 hours for a sedan, from $234.99, for less than booking the pair. Executive Inside & Out starts at $444.99. How do I get the car ready?

Take out personal items. Anything left in place stays as it is. We remove child seats but don't reinstall them. Trash removal is a $20 or $45 surcharge, depending on the amount. Mention it when you book. Leave room around the car, and tell us about garage access, HOA rules, or runoff limits. If there's a gate, add us to the guest list.

Before: child seats, personal items and debris in the Mazda CX-9 rear cabin
Remove personal belongings so the seats and floor are accessible.

What surfaces can you clean inside?

Leather, vinyl, cloth, plastics, and the headliner. Leather gets cleaned, then treated on Express or conditioned on Executive. Vinyl and plastic trim get cleaned, then treated. Seat rails, seams, and console gaps get crevice work, and vents, cupholders, and door pockets get a finishing pass. The wheel, shifter, handles, and switches get steam. Cloth seats and carpet get vacuumed, and on Executive they get extracted and steamed. The headliner is decontaminated and steamed on Executive.

Alcantara and suede get quoted case by case. Tell us about them when you book.

A sagging headliner is a repair, not a cleaning job. Ask about headliner repair as an add-on.

Planning your service

Show us what is under the everyday clutter

A useful interior quote starts with access. The floor under a seat cover, the cargo area under a dog bed, and the carpet beneath a mat can change the work.

_01

Photograph the uncovered areas

Lift loose mats and removable seat covers for photos. Include the driver footwell, rear seats, and cargo floor. Keep valuables and personal belongings out of the areas to be cleaned.

_02

Explain the spill

Tell us what spilled, how long it has been there, and which cleaners have already been used. A visible ring and a smell coming from below the carpet can need different work.

_03

Make the seats accessible

Remove child seats if you want the area beneath them cleaned. Plan to reinstall them yourself according to their instructions. Tell us if an item cannot be moved before the appointment.

_04

Leave room for drying

Ask about drying before making plans to carry passengers immediately afterward. Extraction, fabric condition, and weather affect drying; Julian can explain what applies to your visit.
