Show the gear-carrying areas
If boots, tack bags, or walking gear travel in the car, empty the cargo space and photograph the carpet and seat backs. Dirt on a removable mat and contamination absorbed below it need different work.
Rancho Santa Fe homes are built around the garage. The Covenant's parking rules expect cars to live in enclosed or screened spaces, which suits a mobile detail well: we set up in your garage or motor court, out of view and out of the sun. Cars here pick up horse-country dust, eucalyptus debris, and grit from the long private drives.
Recommended starting points
For a frequently used SUV, start with the cabin and cargo area, then decide whether the exterior needs maintenance or deeper preparation. For a garage-kept car, send close photos of the finish in daylight before choosing correction or a coating. Paint enhancement and multi-step correction have different goals. We inspect the paint before agreeing to remove defects, and we do not promise every scratch will come out.

I have 2 small kids so my car gets pretty dirty with drinks, food crumbs, and dirt from soccer cleats but they leave it spotless every time.

Rancho Santa Fe is an unincorporated community of San Diego County, and the Census counts it as a census-designated place. The Census point sits at about 225 feet. The closest NOAA normals station with full records is in Rancho Bernardo, where August averages a high of 82.8°F and January a low of 45.9°F. Its County Mobility Element roads include Del Dios Highway, Paseo Delicias, Via de la Valle (S-6), La Bajada and La Granada, El Camino del Norte, and Linea del Cielo (S-8). Inside the Covenant, the Rancho Santa Fe Association's Regulatory Code requires at least a two-car enclosed garage plus a third space, screened from streets and neighbors if it isn't enclosed. RVs, trailers, and boats also have to be screened, and the Art Jury enforces the Protective Covenant.

The Covenant's trail network and the area's horse properties keep a fine, dry dust in the air, especially on a breezy afternoon. It coats paint, collects in door jambs, and drifts into the vents and onto the dash. Wiping it dry drags the grit across the finish and leaves fine scratches. A pre-rinse and a careful hand wash lift it safely, and an interior vent brush clears it from inside. Jambs and sills get wiped by hand, since dust hides there after the door closes.
Many properties sit at the end of a long private drive under eucalyptus and pepper trees. Sap, leaf tannin, and bird droppings land on the cars parked beneath them, and the sap hardens in summer heat. Left for weeks, it can etch the clear coat. We soften it before removing it rather than scraping. Ask about Executive Exterior's ceramic sealant if your motor court sits under trees, because a sealed finish lets sap release with less effort at the next wash.
August highs average 82.8°F at the Rancho Bernardo station, and a car parked in a motor court still takes in heat through the glass. Leather can dry and crack without conditioning, and dashboards fade over the years. CAL FIRE also maps Very High fire hazard zones nearby. In a bad fire season ash can land on paint, so leave it for a proper wash; wiping it dry scratches. Let us know if ash has fallen, and we'll start with a gentle rinse.
Your local routine
The Covenant has private equestrian and walking trails, but your vehicle may spend its week on very different duties. Tell us which car carries outdoor gear and which one mostly stays covered.
If boots, tack bags, or walking gear travel in the car, empty the cargo space and photograph the carpet and seat backs. Dirt on a removable mat and contamination absorbed below it need different work.
For a dusty car, avoid wiping the panels dry before our visit. Mention any existing coating, paint protection film, or recent paint work so cleaning and protection can be matched to the finish.
The Covenant and nearby gated communities have different boundaries and access arrangements. Give the community name, actual driveway, and service entrance rather than only the Rancho Santa Fe mailing address.

Why Rotes & Roses in Rancho Santa Fe
The person answering your questions also works on the car. Julian can review the paint, the cargo area used for riding gear, and the driveway setup before setting the appointment. Garage storage and a long driveway do not tell us how much cleaning the vehicle needs.
_01
Every car visit includes a courtesy visual, non-diagnostic check. Compatible, accessible fluids are topped off as needed. It does not replace mechanical service.
_02
Remove boots, blankets, and loose equipment so the rear carpet can be inspected. Tell us about animal waste or unusual contamination before booking; routine interior cleaning has a defined scope.
_03
For The Bridges, Cielo, or another controlled entrance, arrange resident approval and share instructions privately. A gate authorization does not replace permission for the actual work area.
_04
Avoid scraping hardened deposits from the finish. We assess removal before polishing, then inspect the paint that remains rather than assuming every mark needs the same correction.
We come to your driveway, office, or garage.
Mobile by design
We take requests across the Covenant, RSF Village, Fairbanks Ranch, The Bridges, Cielo, The Groves, and Rancho La Cima. A garage or motor court is the usual setup, and we stay off the street. Gated communities need entry arranged ahead: send the gate code or a contact, plus any guard instructions. On a long private drive, tell us where the van stops. Santa Fe Irrigation District serves Rancho Santa Fe and Fairbanks Ranch, and its water measured 235 ppm hardness in 2025, so the final rinse uses deionized water from the van. In the unincorporated Rancho Santa Fe area, County rules keep commercial vehicles of 10,000 pounds or more off residential streets except while they serve a property, so a large work truck gets its detail on the estate, not the road. County code there also doesn't allow parking on a road mainly to wash a vehicle, so the work happens in your garage, motor court or driveway, never curbside.

Inland dust is the steady problem here. It drifts in from bridle trails, unpaved shoulders, and landscaping, and settles on the dash and in the vents. Express Interior, $174.99 for a sedan or coupe, vacuums the whole cabin, brushes the vents, seams, and seat tracks, and cleans and protects every interior panel. Leather that has dried out, carpet with ground-in grit, or a smell from riding boots calls for Executive Interior, from $284.99, which adds hot-water extraction and steam. Executive includes light pet hair, and heavy shedding adds $55.
Outside, the long drives and eucalyptus trees leave dust, sap, and leaf stains. An exterior detail begins at $104.99 for Express: hand wash, wheels and tires, and a spray protectant. Executive Exterior at $224.99 adds clay and iron decontamination and a ceramic sealant, which helps the finish shed dust and keeps sap from sticking as hard.
A household with several cars usually books them together in the garage. Express Inside & Out runs from $234.99, and Executive Inside & Out from $444.99, per sedan or coupe. A daily driver and a weekend car can get different packages on the same visit, and Julian will suggest which car goes first so the garage stays workable. Larger SUVs and trucks are priced by size, and you'll see each number before booking. Mention any car that sits for long stretches between drives, since dust settles thicker on those.
For the rest: headlight restoration is $99.99 a pair, and a ceramic glass coating is $159.99. An RV detail is $9 per foot and boat detailing is $16.50 per foot. If you ask about ceramic coating or paint correction, Julian will inspect the paint and tell you whether it's worth it. Tint is from $199 on the tint page. See every size on the services page. A motorcycle detail is $164.99.
Rancho Santa Fe homes are built for the setup we prefer. The Covenant asks for an enclosed two-car garage and a screened third space, so a garage or motor court is almost always available, and we won't work on the street. We need a level surface with room to open every door wide. Our water containment system keeps runoff out of the storm drains, and we pick up waste water with high-GSM towels and a wet vac. The van brings its own deionized water and power.
Julian, who owns Rotes & Roses, does the detailing himself. He reads each request, confirms access and the price from your photos, and handles the car from the first rinse to the walk-around. Nobody else is sent in his place, and you can ask him anything about the car while he works.
Mobile auto detailing in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, happens in your garage or motor court.
Gated communities like Fairbanks Ranch, The Bridges, and Cielo need gate access arranged ahead. Tell us the entry process, the gate code or a contact, and any guard instructions. If a property manager or HOA has rules about service vendors, send them with the request.
If you'd like a regular visit, a maintenance plan covers weekly, biweekly, or monthly care.
We take requests across the community, including:
Osuna Ranch and the Village shops are reference points, not detailing sites. Postal boundaries and community names don't always match, so send the full address and gate details. If the house sits on a long private drive, tell us where the van should stop and where the car will be. Nearby, we also serve Solana Beach, Encinitas, Del Dios, 4S Ranch, and Carmel Valley.

We take requests in 92067 and 92091. Tell us the actual community and address, since postal boundaries, the Covenant, and gated developments are different. Access and any travel charge are confirmed before booking. Text Julian at (760) 964-3784 with the gate process and a photo of the garage or motor court, or send them through the booking form. The van brings its own deionized water and power, so there's nothing to hook up.
Yes, and it's often the best spot here. A garage keeps the car out of direct sun and the work out of sight, which fits the Covenant's expectations. We need enough room to open every door wide and walk around the car. Move bikes, golf bags, and storage away from the sides before we arrive. Since the van brings its own water and power, there's nothing to hook up.
Yes. A screened motor court is a good second option when the garage is full. It should be level and firm, with clearance to open every door and space for our equipment. If trees overhang it, mention that, since sap and leaves can drop on a freshly washed car. A photo of the court from both ends helps Julian plan the setup.
Tell us the entry process when you book. Fairbanks Ranch, The Bridges, Cielo, and other gated areas each handle vendors differently, through a gate code, a guard list, or a call from the house. Give us a contact who can approve the van on the day. If the HOA has vendor rules, send them too.
Yes. Fine dust works its way into the vents, door jambs, and seat seams. We brush out the vents with soft detailing brushes, vacuum the cabin, and clean every panel. If the dust has ground into carpet or the cabin smells like the barn, Executive Interior's extraction and steam cleans deeper. Photos of the floor and the dash help us plan.
Yes, if there's space for each car to sit with the doors open. Tell us every car, its size, and what each needs, and Julian will plan the order and the time. Multi-car visits are common in a Covenant garage. Each car is priced by its own package and size, and you'll have the total before the day.
Usually. Fresh sap softens with the right product and lifts off without scraping. Sap that has baked on in summer heat takes longer, and if it has etched the clear coat, a mark can stay. Executive Exterior's clay and ceramic sealant helps keep the next drops from bonding as hard. Send close photos of the worst spots.
A sedan or coupe starts at $234.99 for Express Inside & Out and $444.99 for Executive Inside & Out. Larger vehicles cost more. Executive adds extraction and steam inside plus clay, iron removal, and a ceramic sealant outside. We confirm the price from your photos before anything is scheduled, so there's no surprise on the day.
Yes, when the RV or boat sits in a screened or enclosed space we can work around, as the Covenant asks. An RV detail is $9 per foot and a boat detail is $16.50 per foot. Send the length, a photo of where it's stored, and the condition. Julian confirms access and the price before booking.
