Carmel Valley at a glance
The City of San Diego adopted the community plan in 1975, when the area was called North City West. Today the plan area sits in ZIP 92130 and is broken into precise plan neighborhoods, including the Employment Center and the Town Center. Interstate 5 runs along the west side, and SR-56 crosses the community toward the east. What a Carmel Valley week does to a car
SR-56 and I-5 commutes
Carmel Valley sits where SR-56 meets I-5, and daily trips on either leave the same marks: bug spatter on the bumper and mirrors, road film on the lower doors, and a haze on the inside of the windshield that nobody notices until the sun is low. For an exterior detail, send a straight-on photo of the front of the car. It tells Julian how much decontamination to plan before the sealant or wax goes on. Add one of the windshield from inside if the haze bothers you.
School runs and sports gear
With the library, the recreation center, and parks all close to home, back seats here see a lot of traffic. Cleats leave turf and dirt on the floor, water bottles leak into the seat seams, and car seats trap crumbs underneath. Take the car seats out before the visit if you can, or tell us they're staying in. Then photograph the second row and the cargo floor so the package matches what's really there. Gum and melted crayon are worth pointing out too.
Garages and shared parking
A garage or a shared parking structure keeps the sun off the paint, but it can make space tight, and lighting is often poor. We need to open every door fully and walk around the car. If you park in a shared garage, check with your association or property manager before booking, and send a photo of the space and the cars on either side. If it's too tight, a driveway or a guest space may work better, and we'll suggest one.

Carmel Valley is a master-planned community along the I-5 corridor, and we work at homes off Carmel Country Road, Carmel Valley Road, and Del Mar Heights Road, plus Seabreeze Farms and Point Carmel. Office parking in the Employment Center works once your building manager says which spaces are allowed. Hand over the keys at the start, head back to your desk, and we'll come find you when it's finished. A nearby NOAA station, Miramar, averages 82.4°F in August, so ask for a covered or shaded space in summer. If the car lives on the street, look up your block on the City's sweeping schedule first. If a trailer or RV is getting detailed, San Diego code means it can't sit on the street from 2 to 6 a.m. or within 50 feet of an intersection, so tell us where it's stored.

Express Interior at $174.99 covers a full vacuum, seam and rail work, and trim that's cleaned and treated. Executive Interior at $284.99 adds extraction and full steam for seats and carpet with real stains. Executive includes light pet hair, and heavy pet hair on an Executive detail is $55.
Ceramic coating is the second most searched service in the area. We're glad to talk it through if you bring it up, after seeing the paint in daylight. Headlight restoration is third. Cars parked outside in a driveway or an open lot for years tend to get hazy lenses. Restoration starts at $99.99 a pair and works on surface haze. A cracked lens or moisture inside the housing needs a part, and we'll say so from your photo.
Engine bay cleaning is fourth. We look under the hood first, protect what shouldn't get wet, and clean with control rather than pressure. It's included in Express Signature at $383.98, along with Inside & Out and a ceramic glass coating. If you only want the engine bay, book Engine Bay Detail on its own, from $99.99, and we'll look at a photo before quoting it.
Window tint starts at $199 and has its own tint page, for anyone who wants it. Motorcycles are covered too through motorcycle detailing, starting at $164.99, and can go in the same visit. Two cars at one address can share a request, so tell us about both.
Setting up at a Carmel Valley home or office
At home, a driveway or garage with the door open is the easiest setup. We carry our own deionized water and generator, so we don't need to use your hose or outlet, though either can help if it's right there. The spot needs to be level, with room to open every door and walk around the car. Can you detail my car at my Carmel Valley office?
Often, yes. Lots in the Employment Center and other office areas usually have rules about outside services, so ask your property manager first whether mobile detailing is allowed and which spaces we can use. Do you remove dog hair?
Yes. Executive Interior includes light pet hair. Heavy pet hair on an Executive detail is $55 more. Hair that has worked deep into carpet and cloth can take a lot of time, so a photo of the worst area, such as the cargo floor or the back seat, helps us quote it correctly. If your dog rides in the car every day, a maintenance plan can keep it from building up between full details.
Can you restore cloudy headlights?
Yes. Headlight restoration starts at $99.99 a pair for a sedan or coupe. It helps when the yellowing and haze are on the outside of the lens, which is common on cars that have been parked outside for years. If a lens is cracked, chipped deep, or has moisture inside, restoration won't fix it and the housing needs to be replaced. A close daylight photo of each headlight lets Julian tell you which situation you have before anything is booked.
Do you clean engine bays?
Yes. Julian checks the engine bay first, covers anything that shouldn't get wet, and uses a controlled clean instead of high pressure. Engine bay cleaning comes with Express Signature, which starts at $383.98 for a sedan or coupe and includes Inside & Out and a ceramic glass coating. If you only want the engine bay, book Engine Bay Detail and send a photo with the hood open, so he can look at the condition first and confirm the job.
What does a full detail cost in Carmel Valley?

No. The van carries spot-free deionized water and its own generator, so the job doesn't depend on a hose bib or outlet near the car.
