Beach parking is open from 5am to 10pm, and Moonlight Beach has its own lot on B Street, so plenty of Encinitas cars make a beach run before or after work. Dogs and cats aren't allowed on the city's beaches, which means beach cars here carry sand, not beach-dog hair. Sand is abrasive in the seat rails and hard on carpet. Shake out the mats if you can, then photograph the footwells and cargo area so we plan enough vacuum time.

Salt air and the marine layer

With an August average high of 75.8°F at the nearest NOAA station, heat isn't the issue here. Moisture is. Overnight marine layer leaves droplets on the paint, they pick up salt and dust, and the morning sun dries them in place. Over weeks that becomes a film you can feel when you run a hand across the hood. A hand wash with spot-free water removes it, and a sealant from Executive Exterior helps the next round rinse off more easily.

Fire rings and smoke smell

Moonlight Beach has fire rings, and an evening there sends soot and smoke smell home on towels, blankets, and jackets. Soot smears if you rub it, so leave it alone. If the cabin smells like a bonfire, tell us when you book. Extraction and steam in Executive Interior usually lift it from cloth and carpet. CAL FIRE also maps High and Very High fire hazard zones nearby, and ash from a fire season needs the same gentle, wet approach on the paint.

Setting up at an Encinitas home

Beach-area driveways in Old Encinitas and Leucadia can be tight, and street parking is common. We need a firm, level spot where every door can open fully, off the street where possible, and permission to work there. A beach parking lot isn't an approved detailing spot, so we book at your home, your garage, or a workplace with the manager's OK.

Our van carries deionized water and a generator, so you don't need to provide either. Runoff matters here, since storm drains lead toward the lagoons. We run a water containment system that keeps runoff out of storm drains, and we pull up waste water with high-GSM towels and a wet vac.

In a condo or townhome complex, check the HOA rules on mobile service before booking and send them with the request. Olivenhain lots are larger, and long drives are fine with a photo from the gate. To keep sand from building up between visits, a maintenance plan can run weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
